I’ll state up front that we don’t make it to the Power Plant Live! area that much anymore. But we found a reason why the drive, or cab, downtown is worth it: the newcomer, Tatu.
We have all been down this road before: a restaurant or bar takes up residence where a familiar one (or two or three) has occupied previously, and we wonder what changes are in store — the menu, décor, staff, patrons.
When we learned our destination this month was Bluegrass, I can’t say we had any prior knowledge of the restaurant.
Most have fascinating stories as to how the restaurant was conceived and the vision for the future. The Dogwood is no exception.
You may have noticed a few restaurants have opened and closed on 845 S. Montford Avenue in the past few years. Newness is something we mention regular in this space. We usually find ourselves ordering a dish cooked a different way if not trying a new genre of food altogether.
Do you find yourself many times, like Erin and I, ordering the same general menu items when you go out to eat? We’re quite sure you’d leave your comfort zone and try something new- or even a spin on your traditional fare- if you spent an evening here.
It’s always exciting to visit a restaurant for the first time, and dining at Langermann’s in Canton was no exception.
A benefit of reviewing restaurants for Charmed is trying what to us is a new or unfamiliar “genre” of food. When we walked in to Adela in Fells Point, we were unaware of this new restaurant’s specialty.
