A lot of changes are being made to this year’s Baltimore Fashion Week. In the past two years it has been 5 days long, later in the evening, and held in downtown Baltimore. This year, Baltimore’s fashion week will be held over 4 days, (August 22 was just recently added) during a earlier time, and in Towson, Maryland. A new feature to this year’s fashion week will be a scholarship opportunity and a contest for the designers. With all the changed and added excitement, Baltimore Fashion Week 2010 is sure to be a big hit!

Two new features in BFW including a scholarship program called The Baltimore Fashion Week Design Scholarship Award where ten students will be awarded scholarship funds to use towards their academic training for a career in the fashion field. The other feature is the Sexy Aquatic Designer Competition which will be held on opening night. Twenty designers will compete to create a cover up for the models to wear over their lingerie- the top three designers and their models will receive a complimentary photo shoot and the winning designer and their model will win $200.00 and a round trip ticket to New York City for the day!
“This year we stepped everything up several notches, from the designers to the event location. Changes, revisions, omissions, and enhancements were made all to accompany our designers, models, vendors and our fashionable guests. So it was important to make sure that everything was top notch, and so far I think we are achieving that with this year’s production phases” stated Nixon, Founder/Executive Producer of Butterfly Productions, LLC.
