Air Yoga, a new innovative type of Yoga is being introduced to Baltimore exclusively at Canton Club. The Air Yoga program was designed by Cecelia Bellomo. Cecelia is an E-RYT and has been teaching both yoga & Pilates for 10 years. She has been instructing at Canton Club since 2007.

Air Yoga merges together standard and advanced Yoga positions and the gravity liberating vehicle of a trapeze like fabric hammock. No longer being limited to the two dimensions of a floor, the Yoga participant is able to experience positions not previously possible while being securely supported above the ground in the versatile fabric hammock.

Benefits of Air Yoga are those of traditional Yoga and beyond including
• Strengthen core abdominal muscles without strain in the back
• Increase spinal flexibility, decompress tight joints, and align vertebrae without strain or pain
• Perform advanced Yoga inversions and poses without neck or back compression
• Adds an entirely new dimension to one’s Yoga practice
• Adds a generous element of fun to exercise.

Air Yoga classes are held on the following days and times:
Mondays at 5:00 pm
Thursdays at 7:45 pm
Saturdays at 11:15 am
Sundays at 10:15 am

Air Yoga classes are limited to 12 participants. Interested participants can reserve a spot in one of these classes by calling Canton Club (410) 276-5544 or by signing up at the front desk. Canton Club is located at 2780-D Lighthouse Point East on the Canton waterfront just east of the Safeway off Boston Street.
