Morton’s The Steakhouse and MyCity4Her.com host the annual “Spirited Women of Baltimore” Power Lunch to honor three “Spirited Women,” and to benefit the American Red Cross of Central Maryland.
“Spirited Woman Rising” recognizes an up and coming, young woman who is starting to make her powerful mark on the Baltimore community and/or the business world.
• “Spirited Woman in Balance” honors a working mother who is successfully juggling all that life brings her – family, career, all the while engaging in spirited endeavors, such as community service, mentorship, and philanthropy.
• “Spirited Woman of Baltimore” celebrates an accomplished, spirited woman who acts as an example, leader and mentor in her community and profession and has done so for some time. This woman encompasses a variety of ideals, including volunteerism, generosity, sacrifice, preparation, compassion, sensitivity and humility.
According to Monyka Berrocosa, founder of MyCity4Her.com, “My motto is everyone has the power to help someone. The American Red Cross helps so many I felt compelled to create an event that reminded people of how much the organization also needs our support to be able to continue doing so. By celebrating shining examples of Spirited Women making a difference in Baltimore, we hope attendees will celebrate their own unique spirits and inspire them to share their time, talent or treasure to make the world a better place. I am very grateful to Morton’s, one of Baltimore’s top ‘power’ dining destinations, for their support and partnership in this powerful event.”
“Morton’s is proud to be affiliated with this special event in Baltimore, not only to be able to celebrate Baltimore’s leading women, but also to be able to support the American Red Cross,” said Judi DiGioia, sales and marketing manager of Morton’s The Steakhouse in Baltimore. “Morton’s believes in the value of supporting our local nonprofit organizations that in turn support our entire community.”
