City School Students Challenge Knowledge of Local Celebrities
Is a turtle an amphibian? How many sides does a heptagon have? Chances are that the sixth graders at Sisters Academy of Baltimore know these answers and much more. And they will be testing their knowledge alongside six local celebrities at the school’s first annual fundraising event.
The Honorable Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, mayor of Baltimore; David Simon, Emmy award winning creator/writer of HBO’s “The Wire;” Debbie Phelps, mother of Olympic superstar, Michael Phelps; Carla Hayden, CEO Enoch Pratt Library; and Rod Daniels, lead news anchor of WBAL-TV will team up with sixth grade students from Sisters Academy in a live competition.
