The New Century School, opening August 2010 in the heart of Fells Point, will be home of the first language immersion Montessori Primary School in Baltimore City.
The private school follows in the spirit of traditional Montessori principles for early childhood education with a modern twist. Students, preschool through elementary, will develop academic and linguistic skills, problem solving abilities and self confidence above and beyond what a traditional school typically provides.
The New Century School will expose students to Spanish and Mandarin Chinese through partial immersion and enrichment programs, as well as provide cutting edge technology in their classrooms.
The 10,000 square foot facility will have many eco-friendly features including solar panels, energy efficient components, and a greenhouse. The school is focused on a holistic approach to the individual and our programs foster a life-long love of learning while preparing students for the challenges they will face in the future interconnected, complex global world.
