fitnesstipplank_may09Here’s an excellent exercise to strengthen your upper body, as well as your core muscles. Work up to 10 - 20 military style push ups, and then go into a plank and hold for one minute. Repeat for 3 sets. Do this every morning for 30 days and admire the results!

Instructions:

  1. Lie face down on the floor resting on your forearms, palms flat.
  2. Push off the floor, raising up on your toes and resting on your elbows.
  3. Keep your back flat, in a straight line from your head to your heels.
  4. Tilt your pelvis and contract your abdominals to prevent your buttocks from sticking up in the air.
  5. Hold for 60 seconds.
