overhead_antiqueSEPTEMBER 12 -  Monet, Cartier, Tiffany Studios, and Rockwell - just a few of the rare and precious treasures found at last year’s Baltimore Summer Antiques Show.  This year’s show, the 29th annual, will feature over 550 international dealers from the United States, Canada, France, Italy and England and their noteworthy collections.  More than 30,000 attendees from around the world are expected to attend what is noted as the largest antique show in the Nation.

Last year’s gems, all for purchase, included a beautiful impressionistic painting by Monet, an ancient gold crown from the Silla kingdom of Korea, an elegant Cartier diamond bracelet, two Norman Rockwell paintings and a sterling silver tea caddy once owned by famed, English poet Lord Byron complete with his authentic coat of arms.

The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show is a first-class event drawing art and antique aficionados from around the world.  Collections of fine art, furniture, Asian art, American and European silver, jewelry, porcelain, glass, textiles, American folk art and more ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century will be showcased and available for purchase. The show offers a diversity of high-quality items, ranging from $100 to the millions.  The prestigious event also includes a 70-dealer Antiquarian Book Fair offering rare books, first editions, autographs, fine manuscripts and unusual bibliographical material.  For those new to the antique scene, a free, educational lecture series that includes presentations on a wide variety of topics by respected dealers and industry experts is offered daily.

“The Baltimore Show continues to grow in reputation and stature as not only one of most important antique shows in the world, but it sets the market, forecasts trends and establishes the standard for the upcoming antique season.  Dealers and guests are continually amazed at the unique and unusual quality and variety of antiques available at this show,” stated Kris Charamonde, co-owner or the Palm Beach Show Group.
